The Sauce, The Boss
- 28oz Can Crushed Tomatoes with Tomato Puree
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1 half onion – peeled
- 3-4 cloves of garlic – peeled
- Pinch (or two) of salt
- Combine tomatoes, butter, garlic, onion, and salt into a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat for 45 minuted to one hour.
- Remove onion and garlic before spooning sauce onto pizza.
Note: This is just a spin on Marcella Hazan’s Tomato Sauce Recipe. I take no credit for it, I only added garlic. 🙂
